Development finance
assessments

The Development Finance Assessment (DFA) is a tool used by many governments to inform the development of their integrated national financing framework.

DFAs bring together a comprehensive analysis of financing policies, trends, opportunities and challenges within the national context, looking holistically across the public and private financing landscape as a whole. Through a series of multi-stakeholder financing dialogues this analysis informs recommendations for the design and delivery of the INFF approach, including priority financing policy reforms and institutional changes.

The DFA approach was developed by UNDP and has been used in more than 60 countries. On this page you can explore the final DFA reports published by governments.

For guidance on the DFA methodology see the DFA Guidebook 3.0.
