How can a local financing framework connect development priorities with opportunities for people?

A seaweed farmer’s livelihood. A young person’s opportunity to work. A revenue collector’s role in building public trust.

Behind Zanzibar’s financing framework are people whose stories show why financing matters.

This film explores how Zanzibar is using its Sustainable Financing Strategy, developed through an integrated national financing framework (INFF) in the local context, to bring public revenue, private investment and development planning together.

Through the perspectives of government leaders, revenue officers, businesses and communities, it looks at the practical work behind financing sustainable development.

This film was made possible through the financial support of the Local2030 Coalition.
